Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover Review

Removes nail polish but takes so long!
_________________________________________________________________________________

Okay so I recently received my Superdrug order where there was an offer of 3 for 2 on the Bourjois range and a free product which is this full size nail polish remover. I've always wanted to test out nail polish remover posts but never really found it on the top of my Beautea product wish-list but I'm glad that I received it free and got to try it out.

Pros:
----NO pros!----

Cons:
1. Flimsy sponge
2. Strong smelling solution
3. Takes a lot of time to remove nail polish

The main selling point of this product is the easier way of removing nail polish without using cotton wool etc, however the sponge is not attached to the plastic pot so when the product is being used the sponge is moving around so its not removing all the product which takes longer to remove nail polish.

The marketing approach of the product states that 'the product' removes nail polish in 1 sec per nail however after I tried this technique I found that I still had nail polish visible on the nail. Also I had one coat of nail polish one on both occasions - it will be harder to removed nail polish with this product if you have on more that one coat.

Another thing that I could not stand with this product was the strong smell which nauseated me! I hate polish removers which smell awful. I've always used the Cutex nail  polish remover 100ml for £1.59 at Superdug (review for Cutex will be up soon).

I tried this product twice but I wouldn't personally purchase this specific nail polish remover primarily because of the flimsy sponge which does not effectively remove ALL nail polish.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder dupe.

Bourjois Healthy Balance Unifying Powder - £8.99 at Superdrug
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder - £33.99 at Charlottetilbury.com

Recently I discovered the amazing range of base products that Bourjois have to offer. I placed an order for the Healthy Mix Serum foundation, Healthy Mix concealer and the Healthy Balance powder within that range.

I will posting a separate post review of the foundation and concealer tomorrow night. But for now, I've tested both products which are as consistent and of quality and they both do the same exact thing.

Both products are for setting in the foundation or highlight (dupe for Ben Nye powder will also be up soon). Personally I love using this product at the end to set it all in and it's the only powder I use, I feel that too many powders makes your makeup look very cakey and no one wants that for summer or any time of the year.

The only difference is the price and the packaging. I will definitely be sticking to the Healthy Balance powder and try out more high end products to find drugstore and affordable dupes.

Leave a comment below if you've tried either of the powders and if you want more dupe posts.

Thank you for reading my lovelies x

£1 TOP!!!!!!!

Hi guys! Its been a long time since I posted on the blog which I do apologise for but with a busy university schedule and work commitments I was bogged down. However I am making a MAJOR comeback with yet another Bargain!!!

I was In Primark (Birmingham - New Street) where I spotted the most quirkiest fashion blogger top which I just needed in my life however the tag had said £2.50, where at the till it was actually £1 which I think I practically got for free!

Purchased at Primark. Tee says: MY favourite #OOTD

I'm not sure if they are still in stock but do check it out and let me know where you found yours!

Garnier Micellar Water Review

So recently I picked up the much raved about 'Garnier Micellar Water' (400ml) at Superdrug for £4.99. Previously I have used the Nivea cleansing water which did give me breakouts and didn't control the shine on my skin. After seeing EVERY blogger rave about the Garnier Micellar water I thought I'd give it a try too.

My first thoughts of this product were good, the water cleansed my face without stripping the shine and drying up my face and also controlled my breakouts. However, it says on the back on the bottle 'no rubbing', when I remove my eye make up, I dampen the eye for 30-50 seconds but I still have to rub as the Micellar water does not remove all makeup and dirt. After using this I go in with my Body Shop Seaweed cleanser on a cotton pad to pick up anything that the Micellar water left behind.

Overall I do think it's s great product and I would purchase it again purely as it respects the natural oils on your face and prevents breakouts.

If you have this product or recently purchased it, let me know below what you think of it and whether it's helped your skin.

Thank you reading my lovelies. See you in the next post. X

KIKO Lipstick Review (MAC Velvet Teddy Dupe)

I finally placed my first KIKO Cosmetics order where I purchased, an eyebrow kit, eyeliner, lip pencils, matt primer, and a lipstick. I wasn't sure about the quality of the products so I only purchased   a few bits and bobs. I will be uploading reviews on all the items I ordered once I've used them.

The first item review from my first KIKO order is the Velvet Mat Satin Lipstick in shade 602 Natural Rose and I Purchased this for £6.90. Of course I'm going to start off with the sleek and classy packaging - the gold casing just made me want to purchase this product. The packaging isn't like a normal lipstick packaging for instance when you open the KIKO lipstick you have to push down on the top of the product and pull the lipstick apart from the case - which I think is an amazing touch to change up things in the beauty world.
KIKO LIPSTICK - £6.90 (Shade 602-Natural Rose)
KIKO Lipstick (Case)

In the title of this review I have written 'MAC Velvet Teddy Dupe) because I've found that this lipstick is both pigmented and is a dupe to Velvet Teddy shade. I've seen so many beauty blogger rave about this lipstick shade however I have not purchased it, I used my sister's and compared the both to find it is actually a really good dupe.

I applied the lipstick with a KIKO lip pencil to outline my lip line and then used the KIKO lipstick to fill in my lips. I've uploaded a picture of me wearing the product so you chicks get a better idea of the shade. I did however have to re-apply this lipstick once during the day after eating but overall is a good buy especially if you want to save a few extra pounds whilst looking to buy the Velvet Teddy 'Kylie Jenner' lipstick shade.  If you girlies do buy this lipstick be sure to let me know what you think through my twitter @Beauteajunkie which I have finally set up.

KIKO Cosmetics are based in Italy, Milano so shipping is really expensive to ship worldwide but at the moment and up until 28th February, KIKO are doing free delivery so if you want to place an order be sure to do it before then for free delivery girlies with the code 'LOVEAFFAIR'.

Maybelline Colour Show Nail Polish - DUPE ALERT!

Only recently have I started shopping at Primark for their nail polishes. I know at first I was hesitant but with the VERY VERY cheap price at £1 I was sure that I wanted to pick up a few rather than having to wait in another longgg que at the tills - if you've ever shopped at Primark you'll understand me.

I picked up a few shades that I liked the most rather than picking up all the shades which I am planning to do when I visit the store next. Before I tried the P.S nail polishes I loved Maybelline's Colour Show nail polishes which can be purchased at Superdrug or Boots for £2.99. However after trying the Premark nail polishes for £1 I saw that both products do exactly the same thing but also that the P.S nail polishes were better in many ways.

Maybelline Colour Show £2.99 - Image Source: Maybelline
The P.S nail polishes only need two coats which I think is great personally as I don't want too much application on my nails as it tends to ruin and chip the next day however the Maybelline Colour Show needed three coats for its nude shades to actually show up on my nails. The P.S nail polish is also fast drying which just means that I don't need to use my Boujour Fast Drying Formula whereas the Maybelline Colour Show takes a lot longer to dry up.

This review/dupe blog post is based on my personal experience, I use Maybelline Colour Show, P.S, Maybelline Super Stay 7, Rimmel Salon Pro, and Rimmel Lycra Pro Nail Polishes. I am now switching over to P.S nail polishes for the mean time as its student budget friendly and better application till I find the next best nail polish.

I hope you ladies enjoyed this post. Thank you for reading my lovelies.

My 2015 Make-up Wishlist

I know I'm a little or maybe 27 days late with this post but here it is finally, it just took time for me to decide on what I wanted on my wish list. Overall there's five products that i've looked at so far but will post up a new blog for my summer make-up wish list.

So first i've been dying over the Bobbi Brown Classic Brush Collection, they're so sleek and vintage looking which really has attracted me to it. I've never really shopped at Bobbi Brown but I am looking into this brand a lot more now along with Benefit as they have amazing products.

Bobbi Brown Classic Brush Collection - RRP £145.00 (Image Source: Bobbi Brown)

The second product which I am really excited to get my hands on is the Illamasqua Eyebrow Cake. I've recently ran low on my eyebrow powder so I've been shopping around and found this baby, I read great reviews on the site from customers who purchased the product so this little one definitely made it onto my wish list for Spring.
Illamasqua Eyebrow Cake - RRP £26.00 (Image Source: Illamasqua)
I recently purchased a Mac Blusher which I did write a haul post about on my blog. I've been looking a lot lately at the Sleek Blusher pallets and have heard they are dupes for the Nars Blushers. I am looking at the shades to find the right shade that I'm looking for and I will also post swatches on the blog soon.
Sleek Blusher in Shade: Suede - RRP £4.99 (Image Source: Sleek)

I've also been looking at the Nars Lipsticks which have such amazing shades. I have found two shades (Anna and Barbara) which are as you can see below beautiful nude shades which I shall get my hands soon - I will post swatches soon too. RRP £24.00 from Nars in Debenhams or Selfridges.

I hope you ladies enjoyed this post and do e-mail me if you'd like me to review any products.
